TRUETIMBER® UNVEILS HYDROSCENT™ODOR FIGHTING TECHNOLOG
Inman, SC Oct 22, 2007- TrueTimber® Outdoors announced the upcoming product line: HydroScent™; scheduled for release Jan10-12 at the ATA show in Indianapolis, IN and February 2-5 at the SHOT show in Las Vegas, NV. HydroScent™ will bring cutting edge microbial based human scent control to all hunters, especially those not willing to fork out the $190 to $300 for traditional carbon clothing.
The secret behind HydroScent™ is two technologies working in unison to specifically combat microbial based human odor. First the moisture wicking treatment transports sweat (a breeding ground for bacteria) away from the skin and into the garment. There the sweat is met by polyester microfibers aiding in the prevention of bacteria growth. Recent breakthroughs in technology make the next line of defense possible allowing durably bound polymers with large adsorption capacities to trap important human body odors. This technology works wet or dry and the stored odors can be removed simply by normal laundering with unscented detergent which thanks to the fabrics unique composition will quickly air or tumble dry. “This allows effective scent control for the life of the garment” said Devin Sweeney, Brand Manager for TrueTimber® Outdoors. “These fabrics are more breathable, more flexible, and less bulky than activated carbon-containing fabrics”. “We have taken what we believe is an extremely effective human scent controlling technology combined it with a high performance fabric and made it affordable for all hunters”.
TrueTimber® plans to offer a full line of HydroScent™ in their six camo patterns available for retail in fall of 2008. “We have been working on incorporating the new HydroScent™ technology with our popular patterns, and years of diligent field testing to develop the ultimate hunting suit,” said Sweeney. “When you combine these features with the effective long lasting odor control of HydroScent™ this suit should be all a serious hunter ever needs.”
