INMAN, S.C. – October 11, 2019 – TrueTimber, bestselling camouflage brand in the world, invites Major League Fishing(MLF) fans to tune into the Bass Pro Tour on Discovery Channel. The premiere issue aired on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Viewers can follow the TrueTimber-sponsored Bass Pro Tour season every Saturday morning from 7 to 9 a.m. ET through December 28, 2019.
Earlier this year, TrueTimber announced its sponsorship of the MLF Bass Pro Tour and watched as TrueTimber brand ambassador Edwin Evers raked in three top-five finishes, earned the title of Points Champion and took home the coveted REDCREST trophy during the 2019 Bass Pro Tour. Now fans can relive the excitement on Discovery this fall.
“It was a heck of a first season for us,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “I can’t wait to see it play out all over again in front of a whole new audience. The action on the water was unbelievable and the new format caught fire. And there was so much going on at each event. For TrueTimber it was wild ride and we can’t wait until next season. But until then, we’ll watch as the best fishermen in the world land bass after bass in so many different states. Having our own Edwin Evers do so well and take home the title just made it that much more fun.”
The MLF Bass Pro Tour on Discovery features 13 two-hour episodes, covering the final day of competition during each of the eight regular-season stages, plus all five days of the Tour championship.
This top-level circuit brings together 80 of the most decorated professional anglers in the world, including Evers. The field of 80 competes over six days, culminating in a final Championship Round field of 10 anglers.
The Bass Pro Tour on Discovery focuses on the athletes and stories on that final day. The action unfolds through the catch, weigh, immediate-release format, in which every fish weighing at least 16 ounces counts, and culminates in a three-period, one-day weight total.
Exclusive Camo sponsor of the MLF Bass Pro Tour, TrueTimber debuted a new television commercial featuring Evers that aired all season during MLF Live coverage. Now fans will see the commercial on Discovery Channel everything weekend through the end of the year.
