“We have friends and fans across the outdoor industry whether it’s hunting, fishing or both, so we love having the opportunity to participate in something like this with our partners at Bass Pro Shops and everyone else involved,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “We are looking forward to another great event for the fans and participants.”

One of the largest annual events in the fast-growing sport of bowfishing, the 2023 U.S. Open Bowfishing Championship brings a unique collection of fun, competition and conservation to Bass Pro Shops in Nashville. The largest competition of its kind, the ninth annual U.S. Open Bowfishing Championship expects to draw hundreds of teams with bowfishermen from across the country and provide lasting conservation benefits to area lakes and rivers by reducing harmful, non-native fish species.

Boasting the largest payout of any bowfishing tournament, the 2023 U.S. Open pays $30,000 to the winner as part of its $100,000 overall purse. Additional activities include vendor displays and presentations of the latest bowfishing gear, live music, fun contests, exciting giveaways, appearances from bowfishing celebrities and more.
